Whenever anyone asks Speed what he wants to be when he grows up, he always answers the same thing: a race car driver, a rock star and a cook!
Today I think my husband solidifed his first career choice by taking him to Lime Rock Park. Lime Rock is just 20 minutes from our weekend house. It’s a professional race car track and today they went to see the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix Race. Drivers…start your engines…..
Speed came home loaded with autographs and stories about meeting the race car drivers. My husband said he was unstoppable, meeting the drivers and checking out the cars. He LOVED it!
My husband also came home with an handful of brochures. He signed up to do a course in race car driving himself. This might be the start of something!

I know someone who races there. We do a camp out there with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and the Scouts get a behind the scenes tour of the pit. Always a big hit with the boys. I like to sit on the hill and chat.
