My birth family
Today is my mother’s birthday. She turned 70 and here is the family celebrating her birthday without me at our Bush house, about 3 hours south of Perth in Western Australia. I nabbed this photo off my sister’s website! When I look at it I feel like I am almost there, as this scene is just so familiar.
This was them last week. Now my father is on his way into the depth’s of the Kimberlies (way up north), where roads do not exist on a hiking/exploration mission. My Mum is on her way to Europe to go on an Andrew Cohen seminar and is making a trip of it…visiting me! on the way home in August. Yeah!
My little brother, the artist and now father is doting on his newborn. My sister is busy at ABC radio, blogging up a storm and having fun with girlfriends, amongst other things.
I wish I had been in that photo. I’ve lived in the States almost 15 years now and miss these kinds of moments. (I have plenty of great moments here too…don’t get me wrong.) It’s such a pity you can’t be in two places at once.

We wish you had been there too.
Maybe you could claim those unidentified legs (Lara).
