Summer Camp

Here in Wilton, CT it has rained everyday for 3 weeks.  Right now you don’t want to live in a low lying area.  The rain has been extremely heavy at times.

…summer camp is outside.  When I booked the kids in 3 months ago I wasn’t thinking that I was going to be sending my kids out for 5 days in the rain.  I was thinking a brown bag lunch, sunscreen, bathing suit and a hat…maybe even sunglasses.  Instead I have:

  • a coverall raincoat
  • a sweater
  • change of clothes
  • rainboots
  • extra socks
  • extra shoes
  • towel
  • wipes (to get the mud off before snack)
  • lunch, extra snacks
  • plastic bags to put the muddy stuff in
  • mammoth backpack

Of course not everything will fit in their backpacks!  I am going to make them wear as much as possible to camp.  Otherwise their lunch will get squashed. I already know where the lost property box is!

Sunscreen and bathing suit will be underneath their clothes, just in case!
