Not So Bad After All
Today I dropped Chuckles at camp. It wasn’t so bad. The campgrounds were beautiful. She was in a little group of 9 girls with 3 counselors who all seemed very nice. The camp seemed very organized and Chuckles seemed to take to it like a duck to water.
I was allowed to get her settled in, eat lunch with them and help her navigate through the entry process. This included medication deposits, form drop offs, lice check, physical, bank deposits, t-shirt pick up. Everything went smoothly and efficiently. Claire’s room mates seem very sweet and there are a lot of girls who came back having loved it last year. All of these things were good signs.
I only saw 2 girls with pink hair.
The food was edible in a white sandwich bread kind of a way.
We are adjusting at home to the giant gap in the family.
I can’t wait to pick her up.
