Fresh Brain

OK.  I’ve found it.

I’ve found my perfect summer camp.  And it’s free!

It is supposed to be for teens…but if I reversed my age I would have the perfect age!

Seriously!  It’s a virtual camp and it teaches you to do a whole pile of cool things.

These are the learning paths that you can go on:

  • Make a 3D Video Game
  • Build Applications on the latest Mobile Phone (using Google Android)
  • Multimedia Web Applications
  • Learn Java Programming
  • Make Exceptional Videos
  • Digital Graphics Lab
  • Animation Exploration
  • Mix It, Mash It, Make Your Own Music
  • Campers may spend anywhere from a week to the whole summer participating. They can participate in one or many different “Learning Paths”. And they can do this on their own schedule. All that the campers need is access to an Internet-connected computer.

And if you have a teen or are a teen you might want to check out this site too. This YouTube clip talks about the work at Fresh Brain and the activites teens do online. They have a page just for parents to help them understand why learning on the computer is not a waste of time, and to see the latest research on digital learning.

How about you and I register and do it together? Our combined mental age would be just about right….
