Chuckles broke her Elbow :(
Today whilst playing freeze tag with her buddies, Chuckles was being chased and happened to be on the monkey bars…she missed the rung and convolutedly dismounted side ways with her arm tangling and twisting. She heard the crack before she landed crookedly with a thump.
We had an ambulance ride to Norwalk Hospital…she could only move her fingers and was in a LOT of pain.
“Keep your eyes open, Sweety” was all I could say in the ambulance. I was a wreak. I tried some jokes but they all fell flat. She was really hurt.
I knew it was broken as I broke my left elbow a few years back..15 years maybe! and it was the same elbow I broke…like Mommy like daughter?! It broke my heart.
So after 2 sets of x rays it was confirmed she broke her elbow…the doctor called it a lateral brake to the elbow. A better break than some and she won’t need surgery. We have an appointment with an orthopedic specialist tomorrow. She’ll be in a cast…a waterproof cast we hope.
Her biggest concern, is whether she can ride her horse. She is heart broken. Hang in there, Chuckles! We love you.

She was such a trooper…no meds when they reset the arm…I am so proud of our little girl…and her mom handles a crisis like a member of Delta Force…unflappable!
